Research Interests

Investigating the role of FoxA1 in normal mammary gland development and in maintaining the luminal subtype of breast cancer.

Commonly used lab techniques

Mammary gland rescue surgeries (orthotopic, renal capsule), mammary whole mount analysis, immunoflourescence, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, western blotting, qRT-PCR, RNAi, and cloning.

Why I chose Case's pharmacology department

The CWRU School of Medicine has a strong reputation in biomedical research.

Why I chose Case Western Reserve University

My interest and background in breast cancer led me to join Dr. Ruth Keri’s lab.

Where I see myself in the future

Upon obtaining my Ph.D., I will pursue a post-doctoral fellowship with the ultimate goal of acquiring my own lab in translational breast cancer research.
