Research Interests
I recently joined the Gerson lab where I will be working with DNA-repair deficient mouse models to characterize hematopoietic stem cell function and DNA damage pathways. The techniques used involve cell culture, electrophoresis, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and several animal procedures.
Why I chose Case Western Reserve University
Upon visiting Case I was extremely impressed with the first-rate facilities and distinguished faculty. Tag that along with the fact that my family lives in the area and the choice was a real no-brainer for me.
Where I see myself in the future
It’s hard to say but probably either academic research or industry. Regardless I definitely see myself behind a bench somewhere.
Hobbies and outside interests
I’m a huge sports fan and love to both watch and play just about anything (except water sports, I can’t really swim). I truly enjoy spending time with my friends and family and I read and watch movies in my spare time.
